Perennials & Vines
Perennials & Vines
Our perennial and vine selection changes seasonally. A few of our current favorites are trouble-free mainstays such as the following:
Black Scallop Ajuga: we love this low groundcover with glossy black leaves.
Lily-of-the-Nile: a top-rated perennial with blue summer blooms like fireworks. We stock blue specimens and 'Ella Mae' cultivars, as well as the diminuative and variegated 'Tinkerbell'.
Cannas: still another top-rated popular perennial. An old-fashioned favorite with a great tropical feel that is great around pools.
African Irises, both Fortnight Lily and Butterfly Iris: two reliable and easy to grow perennials with a long bloom cycle. They often have flowers from spring into fall. When people ask us to identify a unique flower that they saw, it often turns out to be Fortnight Lily!
Ribbon grass: a nursery favorite, this grass has pastel green leaves with pink striping. We stock the variety 'Wood's Dwarf'. Unusual. Used in the WPA Gardens in William Land Park.
In addition to seasonal perennials and vines, we stock a wide variety of arbors and trellises to suppport vines, and pottery and garden art to accent flowering plants in the garden.
